Christmas Party 2009

Christmas usually means “party” on our side of town. What do I mean about that?
Well, meaning that most of my friends and officemates want to have some Christmas fun! Like what our company did last December 12. Our company thought of having an 80’s party this year and this is how we end up! Lol! :)

OMG! Only 4 days more to welcome 2010 and my blog seem so ancient with my old posts!

I admit I haven’t been blogging very well these past few months! I’ve been bombarded with lots of stuffs that I haven’t got the time to really act like a professional blogger. Just like now, I’m actually at the office on a Sunday afternoon trying to finish my online backup before the year ends.

You see after this year, we will be transferred to the new plant I was talking about few weeks back. Oh I just hope I could finish this and post some more updates for my readers to browse. :)

Time Out

My dad called me up a while ago and he asked me what we think of having a family vacation at Boracay next year. I was quite shock to know (and excited as well) that finally they had decided to take a break far away from our house. You see, only my mom and SIL stays in our house and everyone else are working (that includes me too) to live.

I definitely said yes to my dad after hearing that from him and I even said that I’ll be in charge of the reservations and bookings which are on top of the list before anything else. Anyways, we still have a couple of month to prepare and hopefully my boss would approve my request for a vacation leave then.

Hmmm.. let’s see. ;)

New Moon Experience

I saw it the very first day it was shown in the Philippines! Bwahahaha! :)


I was with hubby when we saw the flick, we entered a standing room but due to hubby’s determination to have a chair, we was lucky to grab a seat for both of us a minute before the movie started.

The whole experience was totally awesome. As expected, it gave me the thrills, giggles and sighs that I got when I saw Twilight and now I can’t wait for the third installment – Eclipse! :) I can't tell anything about the movie- well I don't want to be a spoiler. ;)

I’m currently reading the 3rd sequel (yeah, I haven’t read it yet, considering I had the book a year ago pa ) but it’s better late than never. I just hope I can finish the 3rd book before the Eclipse movie does. Lol!


I’m so hooked with the whole team and with Taylor as well ( yummy ) but of course I’m still with Team Edward! :) PS: New Moon Break Box Office Record! See Yahoo. :)

Anyways, whatever!!! Time for me to check out Orange NJ invisalign braces for my cousin Kathy. She badly needs a new one. :)

A Birthday Break with Friends

It was Rose’s 31st birthday and she thought of treating us at a Native restaurant at our place. :)


I think it was Monday when Rose decided that we go out after work and had a slowdown after a very hectic and tiring day of office supply inventory.


Everything turned our fine and we had a real cool day.

Time to Remember

I’m preparing for a busy week this time. Well, for the fact that it’s the last whole week of November and the Christmas month is about to enter, I really have the reason to be busy about.

But somehow, as I was jotting down on my daily journal, I thought of sneaking in some meet-ups with friends. My long friend Sarah just text me a while and asks me if we can see each other within the week. Though, I know I’ll be as busy as a bee, I opted to say “yes” because I know she needs it (based on the tone of her voice) and I think I might have to power to be flexible and be a friend even for a day.

I’ve known Sarah since we were in college and she’s currently offering call center services and has been loving the job ever since. Anyways, I do hope we can meet by Friday and unwind. :)

The Greatest Boxer In The World

And he won again!


The greatest fighter in the world has done it again and now for the first time in humanity, he captured his 7th championship belt! Can you believe that he got the 7 belts on 7 different divisions! Isn’t he the greatest or what?!

My hubby and I woke up early today for us to be one of the 5,000 privilege of smart bro subscribers to view a free live streaming of “Pacquiao vs Cotto – Firepower “ at Sandbox. At first, I was having a hard time logging in on the right link but when the fight was about to start, the video started without any hassles. Thank God! :)

The whole viewing went on smoothly, though there were some buffering delayed which lasted seconds but still we were able to handle them. But what made us crazy were not the knock outs of the 3rd and the 4th rounds but the buffering of the video at round number 11! And you know what happened next? The whole video stopped!!!! Urgh! It was horrible, only a round to go for us to see the finale but we were unfortunate to view it. We saw the last round thru our local chanel. Pity huh?

When I was a little girl I’ve always wanted to play the piano. I even ask my mom to enroll me for a piano lesson after class but unfortunately she didn’t. She said that we don’t have enough money to pay a paino instructor to teach me. I didn’t understand at first but I got older and got a stiff finger, I fully understood why - one can’t have everything in life! But still I’m thankful because I got the love that I deserve from my family. ;)

Our Next Target

After the Canon DSLR that we purchased a month ago, my husband plans to purchased a new Samsung HDTV for our bedroom. We currently have one which is smaller than the HDTV he saw online last night. He wish to purchase a 42 inches wide screen TV this time but of course we have to save up for it first before we can buy one.lol! :)

I don't know if you've noticed but we’ve been acquiring stuffs not because we want them but because we need them as starter gadgets when we have our own home. I'm not saying that we'll be transferring to a new house anytime soon though we're hoping we'll have the construction done by next year.

Oh, I only hope we could have all the stuffs we need before we move in. (*cross-fingers*)

More Muscles

Last night while checking my mail, my friend Rob buzzed me from my messenger and sent me a photo of himself. Actually, he has been telling me that he’s really into getting fit lately, especially on building up his upper body.

I was surprised when I saw his photo and I was happy that he has successfully increased the volume of his muscles thru the help of the dip machine that his wife has purchased and that I suggested. ;) Oh well, what are friends for, right? At least, he’s more confident and happier now with his new assets. ;)

Communication Matters

My friend Lino went to our house yesterday. He thought of stopping by and say hello before going home to his province where he would spent his All Saint’s Day with his departed love ones.

Anyways, I was just so happy to see him after a year of not seeing each other. You see, he’s an engineer and after passing the board he got assigned to Tarlac where he worked with cell towers of a known communication company. We had a little chat to update each other and exchange each other’s number to get in touch once again because he’ll be leaving the country next month.

Oh well, he’s one lucky guy and I just hope he’ll have his own family soon. :)

Surprise Halloween Party

Hey guys! Guess what?

My friends and I thought of having our own Halloween party this weekend and exclusively for us and our kids. You see most of us are married and have kiddo that’s why we thought of having a little reunion this Halloween.
Actually, the whole event has been planned by my friends two weeks ago and I was caught by surprise when I received the invitation this morning. :)

Cute ey? My friend actually got this at Invitationconsultants.com, I tried browsing the site and there were lots of stuffs in there. They have birthday, baptism, wedding invitations and even Christmas cards to complete the package.

Well, as for me, I might try browsing some Christmas cards as part of my gift giving this Christmas. :)

+ Yes, I do. You can usually see it in their eyes or thru his/her body gestures or if the lie is somewhat serious and long term you can see the weight loss that has occurred due to lack of sleep or appetite! ;)

+ Like most of us, I usually say “white lies” to please or not to hurt the person’s feeling. Yeah, I’m trying to avoid it because truth is better for one’s improvement, right?

Seriously Sexy

My cousin Kyla has been overweight since we were in high school and now that she’s graduating from college she’s still striving on losing weight. Apparently, she’s blaming her weight for not having a boyfriend since birth! Funny but true, somehow most guys get attracted physically first, right?

That’s why, I vowed to help her slim down and promise to look for effective fat burner pills that can help her loose those unwanted fats on her body. I just hope I can find one before the year ends.

Well, I did ask him once to buy some so he can get rid of his wrinkles but he opposed on my suggestion and said that he doesn’t need the best eye cream for wrinkles to disappear and have the perfect skin, all he needs is the love and care from his loving wife and son and everything will turn out perfect!

Plasma Mounts

My brother Mike just bought a brand new plasma tv.

He thought of buying a new one as a birthday gift to himself. He was actually planning on buying a flat tv only but when he went to the appliance store he saw a plasma tv on sale! He saw that he can afford it so he purchased it!

Now, he’s waiting for some plasma mounts brochure that his supplier promise to give today with the corresponding discounts because of the acquisition of the plasma tv. :)

Anyways, she currently weighs around 185 pounds and for a 5 feet and 3 inches woman she definitely need some melt down, right? ;)

Flash News : Typhoon Ondoy

I just got home from work and thank God we arrived safely. My boss told us to go home early this afternoon because of the heavy rains and winds of Typhoon Ondoy.

Typhoon Ondoy just passed the province of Pampanga here in the Philippines a while ago at 2 pm. And God when I turn on the television and saw the news everything I saw and heard was horrifying!

It’s been weeks since the last typhoon ( I think ) and today was like 30 days of rainfall poured for just 6 hours! Many people are now affected with the storm and almost everybody is devastated of what happen. And just a few hours ago President Arroyo declared 26 areas in Luzon including Metro Manila, under a state of calamity due to floods caused by tropical storm Ondoy.

Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro said the provinces placed under a state of calamity were Aurora, Quirino, Nueva Viscaya, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, Isabela, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Marinduque, Camarines Norte, Bataan and Metro Manila.

Hope that this calamity will end soon this evening so that many people will be save and be safe. Let’s pray…

Meet Belly Fat :)

This is me with my belly fat … :)

This photo was shot last July after my birthday treat. When I was still young and sweet ( eww! ) my waist line was around 22 to 24 inches. But when I got married and especially after giving birth the fats on my belly was as hard headed as my little boy! Lol!:) Sad to say they just don’t go away easily.

Now, after 3 years of being a mom I still have these belly fats and I’m still on the verge of eliminating them. Urgh! :(

Distracted with Facebook

For 3 days I’ve been logging in on the web for me to finish some online tasks and update my blogs. As you all know 3 days of being online can do so much for a blogger but unfortunately what happen was the other way around. Why? Because I was too busy with Facebook! Lol! :)

Everytime I’m online I just can’t help but peek in to FB! To the point of having more time in that social site than doing my blogging tasks! Lol! Urgh! :) I enjoyed chatting and reading updates from my old friends and colleagues and commenting on them just gives me the hype to comment more and update my account as well! Lol! :)

Oh well, so much for my expired tasks! :(

Free Tickets!

By October, we will be moving to my mom’s house and we plan to stay there for a month. Why?

Because my in-laws will have their vacation in Macau by that month and no one will stay home to take care of Aj. And because hubby and I have work to attend, we have no choice but stay in our mom’s house. I sure hope my in-laws will stay in Macau for a month only and hopefully no extension. Yes, you read it right, they are going to Macau and will stay at my SIL‘s house. They intended to do such for their passport to be stamped in preparation for their Canada petition.

Anyways, I ask hubby if we can join our in-laws even for a week in Macau and then go to Disneyland after that. Unfortunately, hubby didn’t approve my plan. He said that we’ll have to wait for a year or so and just visit Disney World instead in Orlando. Especially now that he’s friend Zach is working at Orlando and is willing to buy us Disney World Tickets for free! I got ecstatic and was racing my breath when he said that. That will be too awesome, right?

Now, all we have to do is save more moolah for our shopping spree. :)

Pandesal De Pugon

My first glimpse of this bakery was in a cooking show (which I forgot the title). I saw how traditional the shop looks and how they convey Old Manila. When they opened a franchise near our place, I immediately bought some spreads and their famous pugon baked pandesal.

Pugon was a Filipino tradition of baking breads thru open fire and wood. The aroma of the wood mix with the bread pretty well that it gives more flavor to it.

I just love their freshly baked pandesal! The smell, the taste and the texture really blew me away. Not to mention my favorite Chocolate Con Leche that somewhat tastes like “Chocolateng Batirol”.

Overall, I love the shop and would really love to buy daily! :)

Like later, we’ll going to feast another batch of pandesal and tuna as our afternoon snack. ;)
