Nutcrackers on the Shelves

I was checking out some retail shelving displays that my boss was asking me to look for when I suddenly saw these cute red soldiers on a shelf.

These nutcrackers definitely blew me away and I really want to buy a couple of them and have them display in my house specifically on my bedroom and in our living room. I bet a lot of guest would definitely be amazed with these awesome soldiers this Christmas. :)

Christmas Gift Ideas

“Its Christmas!” that’s what my son always says before he goes to bed and he keeps on telling that I should give him a gift and his mom as well. Oh men is that really a pressure on me because for I haven’t got any christmas gift ideas for my wife! I know, I’m a bad husband for saying that, but what I really meant was I really want something special to give this Christmas for my loving wife.

Any suggestion guys?

Unique Christmas Cards

Christmas is just around the corner and with the days approaching fast many among us is now thinking what we should give to our love ones. Most of you might think of giving personalize gifts like pens, pendants or shirts other might buy yummy pastries and cakes and those who can afford more might buy cool gadgets for their love ones. But not me, I decided to be different this Christmas. I thought of giving a more touching and straight from the heart gift. And you know what I thought about? Giving unique Christmas cards is my best plan! :)Cards are very traditional but definitely can pinch a heart! :)

Christmas Party 2009

Christmas usually means “party” on our side of town. What do I mean about that?
Well, meaning that most of my friends and officemates want to have some Christmas fun! Like what our company did last December 12. Our company thought of having an 80’s party this year and this is how we end up! Lol! :)

This holiday season it is wiser that we watch we eat and drink, especially if you have health risks that can be trigger by improper or so much eating of delicious fatty foods. Also I would also want to remind all my friends who are in a diet to keep their cool and manage their cravings! This reminder is especially for my Sharque! Lol!

Treasured Hamilton Watch

Remember the Hamilton watch that I posted here for my dad? Well, we was able to choose from those gorgeous Hamilton watches we saw online and was able to buy one and gave it to my dad last Christmas.

He was so ecstatic when he saw the watch. He couldn’t believe that we bought him a new watch and it was one of the watches he wanted most. Good thing, my SIL was kind enough to give us a hand in purchasing the item. Thanks sis!

My dad said that this will be his most treasured watch ever because it came from us - his precious children. Aww! Isn't he the sweetest dad ever? :)

Mini Reunion for my Mom

We spent the whole Christmas day at my mom’s house in Pampanga.

We were there by 8am and went around visiting our relatives to have some “mano po and aguinaldo sessions”, lol! After that we return to my mom’s house and have some brunch. After that my mom and dad ask us to go somewhere nice where Aj and Lyka can have some fun. We thought of going to Clark for some carnival fun. But before we got to our destination, my cousin Lisa called and asks us to go home at once! Why? Because they just arrived at my mom’s house to surprise her! :) So, we immediately return home.

All my cousins, aunt and uncle (mom’s side) where at our house when we arrived. It was a surprise mini reunion for my mom. And boy if you could only see my mom’s face, she was really ecstatic! :) Imagine, they were almost laughing the whole time they where together! Lol! :)

Anyways, I’ll posts some photos when I have the time. But here is a teaser from that great moment.

2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse: My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I'd be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?
3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I'd like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year :)
4. Jengspeaks by Jeng: Every Christmasmtime, our group Friends Empowered to Serve would solicit money, clothes, food, etc. to give to our chosen charities such as Anawim, PGH Chilrdren's ward and the street children of Manila. This year, we hope to be able to give more and add the families along the pier in our list of recipients. We also want to give the children there a simple Christmas party with food, games and gifts.
5. life. love. family. work. travel: Christmas won't be the same again for our family this year. my eldest sister and her family is migrating to the US. a few years ago, my elder sister migrated to holland with her two kids. my ate from holland might not come home this Christmas and would probably just spend Christmas with our ate in the US. i hope and i pray wherever we are, we will still feel the spirit of Christmas within our family. i also pray that my parents won't get too much affected of this change. they're already old and i'm afraid that loneliness might affect their health. i hope my brother and i and our own families could cheer them up in the coming days and could keep the usual happy Christmas spirit in our homes.

6. My Precious Niche: For this Christmas- I wish that my family will have better health than before. Especially that of my mom and my grand ma. And hopefully this time, hubby and I can establish our own bread and butter. Well, I think a small business franchise is a good start right?

a busy week

Whew! What a busy week this is!

Since Monday, I've been so occupied with the holiday rage and year end cram! Don't even have enough time to update my blog and post some significant events that happened for the past few days. Though sometimes, I sneak in and finished some of my opps (but I have still 3 pending) and unfortunately 1 got expired. Sayang! But its ok, there will still be more opps next year db? :)

Overall I rate my week as tedious but breathaking. Tedious because of some office works and audits to prepare for the year-end, breathaking because of the shopping and lots of Christmas stuffs! you know.. just love that! lol! :)

Anyway, I hope your week was a blast like mine! :)

half way shopping

Yes! Finally, I've finished my first batch of Christmas gift (for my family) shopping yesterday! (may batching pa oh! lol :).

May batching kasi I haven't bought anything yet for my hubby, my dad, my FIL, my niece, my brother, Aj's nanny and more gifts for AJ. And yes, for my inaanak and friends pa pla! (grabe andami pa! wala na me budget! lol!). So consider them as 2nd batch!

Here are the stuffs that I bought.

For my mom, I bought her a blender because her old one is nowhere to find, for my MIL a deep fryer for her frying convenience, for my 2 Bro & SIL a complete set of sensual body wash & perfume for their lovy duvvy stuffs :), for my hubby’s little cousins a girly beauty set and a power ranger dart board, for my nephew an educational apple piano (this is really cute!) and last but not the least, another gift for my AJ a learning drum set (really nice, very educational, it teaches colors, numbers, shapes and music kya I purchase it).

Whew! I went home 11pm last night and I slept around 2 am. Why? Because I was so busy wrapping all the gifts! Look oh, I finished all of them na! :) Gosh, I still have so many gifts to buy! I'll post the 2nd batch of gifts after I purchase it hehe :)

It really feels so good to give, I think I'll be seeing more smiles this Christmas from my family! :)

christmas schedule

Jenny and Abie asked me " How's my schedule this christmas?"

Well, this christmas we're planning to spend a week before "the day" at my in-laws. We'll have our noche buena there, then come December 25, we'll visit some of here tita's & tito's and ask for some aguinaldos, lol! . Later that day, we'll be back to my parent's house to do the same and " ask for more aguinaldos, abuso ba? lol! And we'll stay there for one week again, maybe until new year. :) unfortunately, no more aguinaldos to beg hehehe... :)

gingerbread ornament

He may look good enough to eat, but this sweet guy is really made of felt.


Materials:

chalk
gingerbread man template
one sheet stiffened Eazy Felt in brown
kid-friendly scissors
craft glue
2mm white pom-poms
scraps of rickrack and yarn
one-hole punch
ribbon

Directions:

1.) Use a piece of chalk to trace our gingerbread man template on brown felt; cut out.

2.) To decorate, glue on pom-poms and scraps of rickrack and yarn.

3.) Punch a hole at the top of the ornament, and thread a piece of ribbon through to hang

Whala! Another ornament for your christmas!

my christmas list ?

I make it a point that every christmas, I shop for a gift for my loveones (my family, inlaws and friends), eventhough they won't give me a gift in return, its the spirit of giving that counts. " Db ang sarap ng feeling pag-ngbigay ka at na-appreciate nila ang binigay mo. "

But the prob is, till now I don't have my christmas list. Last year kasi I was on a rush-shopping, as in a few days nalang ang christmas dun plang me ng shop ng gifts hehehe, crammer ! :)

As in I don't know what gift I'll buy and sino-sino and worst wala ka na tlgang mabili maganda. Well, I don't want history to repeat itself, that's why one of my " virtual resolution " was to have a list and shop as early as possible! But till now wala pa! lol! :)
