If the room has a large closet, you may be able to eliminate a bulky dresser or wardrobe by organizing the closet with shelving and drawers. If the closet is small, consider under-bed storage or wall-mounted shelving that won't take up floor space. Day beds and futons will provide comfortable seating for reading or relaxing and additional sleeping areas for teen sleepovers. Although a desk is useful for homework, it can take up precious floor space and create clutter. Many teens prefer to study on their beds or on the floor where they can relax.

The bed is usually the largest item in a bedroom, so small bedrooms requires careful planning. A small bedroom doesn't always require a twin-size bed, but that's certainly an option as long as it fits your teen comfortably. Headboards can push a bed more than a foot off the wall, so consider a bed without a headboard or a wall-mounted headboard that will save floor space. Colors and Patterns

Many teens like bold colors and patterns that are stimulating and fun. If that's your teen's style, you can create a design scheme with bright colors and bold patterns, but you should limit them in the room. In a small space, too much color or pattern can be overwhelming and make the room feel much smaller. Rather than painting all four walls in a bold shade of crimson, pumpkin orange or lime green, paint one wall as an accent wall, then pick up the color in smaller amounts around the room in teen bedding, throw pillows, artwork or decorative accessories. You can also add bold colors or patterns with an inspiring ceiling mural that will give your teen something fun to look at before they fall asleep.

Time to Replace Old Foams

I was browsing the internet this morning and found foam sheets at Foambymail.com. You see, our bed is made from foam and I’ve been planning to buy foam as a replacement for it. Our old foam is about a year old and I think it is just proper and hygienic to replace it this time. I also want to replace it because I notice that it is on the stage of sagging. Oh well, I do hope I can purchase one before this year ends.

Time to do my Christmas List

Oh my! I can’t believe that tomorrow will be the first day of September already! Urgh! Time really flies so fast this days and I bet in just a few days we will start hearing Christmas songs everywhere.

Looks like will be seeing these giant snowmen again in the malls with my kids! Uh I’m so excited for that special day, especially now that I have two lovable boys tagging along. Lol! Well, does this mean I should start jotting down my Christmas list and my Christmas wish list? What do you think? Well, maybe I should and the first on my list is a goulds pump at WeGotPumps.com that my dad has been asking me to look for. He needed it for his store and I really have no idea what it is for.

Anyways, maybe I really should jotting down my list as early as now and canvass for gifts as well. :)

Backyard Hot Tub Online

The moment I saw this backyard hot tub online, I remembered the house of a known movie star here in our country. She has a story same as Cinderella. From being a poor lonely lady to a booming superstar she has done great with her earnings.

One of which is her newly constructed four-storey mansion that was televised on national television last week. The whole was stunning and really huge. But what really made me sigh was the penthouse area with a hot tub on the side. Yup! You heard it right, she has one of those relaxing hot tub that offers warm bubble massage. She said that they usually open the tub every weekend with her daughter as part of their weekend bonding moments.

I was really amazed on how she walks her way on top. She was one of the most hardworking and most dedicated artists I know in our country. Anyways, now that I saw the tub, I was thinking if the husband will agree with me if we put a ot tub on our backyard. Hmmm.. I think that’s a cool idea, right?

Classic Swing Sets for Aj

We are currently on search for swing sets that we plan to install on our backyard. You see, since my son went to school he wanted to play in the playground every day. That’s why we opted to bring the playground on our home so that he won’t have to stay in the school after school hours.

To make my life easier, I tried searching the internet about it. The swing set we are currently searching are those small classic swings. Just like this one.

Residential Garage Door for Mike

I was doing some of my household chores a while ago when my brother Mike called me. I think some of you remember him as my brother who just had a newly construction house last month. His house was a total dream before but now he already has it! I’m so proud of my brother for achieving this kind of goal. I myself haven’t succeeded yet on that one but I know in my heart I will soon have my dream house as well. In God’s time..

He called just to tell me that he needs a garage door. You see, since his house was new, his garage was the last priority to be constructed and it was only a week ago when they finally finished its construction. And because the whole building is already finish, we thought that it’s time for us to canvass a residential garage door for it. Of course, every opening needs to be closed just for the house to be totally secure. Even though his car hasn’t arrived yet, it is a must that he should prepare before it arrives, right? Or else he might get robbed or might get car napped! Lol! With that, I will go offline for a while and attend my brother’s needs. :)

We Need a New Door

My brother and I were looking thru some exterior shutters online for his newly constructed house when we suddenly heard a loud crack in our living room. We immediately checked the area with our tip toed move; we need to act that way just in case there was someone knocking us out. But thank God no one was there but apparently discovered that our door was literally breaking.

It was only that time that we noticed that there were some holes on the side of the door and some crushed parts that have been eaten by termites. Unfortunately, my dad forgot to poison the door with some anti-termites chemicals when they installed it which caused the termites to stay inside and eat thru it. Urgh! Events like this are really annoying, now we also need to browse on some new doors to replace this old beaten one.

Does anyone of you know where we can buy a perfect termite free door? If yes, just leave me a message. For now, we need to set up some sleeping mattress and pillows in the living to guard the door. I tell you the door is seriously not safe as of this moment. Such a hassle! :(

Beautiful Bathroom Tiles

I was browsing some friend’s photo on a social networking site when I suddenly stumbled upon a beautiful bathroom photo. I saw this from Expressiontiles.co.uk and I so love the bathroom tiles, just look at it!

This is one of the bathroom tiles that Brighton is offering. Brighton wall tiles are available on different colors from black and white pair to bright blue and lilac. The black and while colors are selling like pancakes for their classical and stylish look while the bright colors on the other hand are usually bought by younger client’s who wants to have show their fresher views on interior designing.

But as for me this Brighton Blue as shown in the photo above is the best one for me. The colors of this one make me want to stay in the bathroom the whole day. Lol! Having a clean and beautiful bathroom does makes one relax even more. That is why it is just wise for a home owner like us to prioritize the bathroom area in terms of construction and design, right? Anyways, I need to check on some bathroom designs and colors for our upcoming house renovations. Yes! We’re renovating again.lol! The husband just can’t get enough of his house. Lol!

Time to Cool Down

Gosh! It was really hot last night. My son didn’t sleep well because our air conditioning unit is not working properly. Urgh! If only I was able to call the air conditioning repair Austin technician that my mom told me then we won’t experience this kind of hassle. Now, my husband and I has baggy eyes because from lack of sleep. Well, I never thought that the unit will not totally work that night, I thought it was just a loose connection.

Presumptions that made our son cranky and my husband sweaty the whole night. Lol! That’s why as early as 8 am this morning, I called the technician’s office and hire them to repair our air conditioning unit. And based on their call time, they might be arriving a little later. I’m really hoping that they can arrive a little earlier than expected for I still need to check on it before evening falls.

Oh well, I need to sign off for a while and confirm the exact time they are going to arrive. Especially that my husband plans to go out and have a little picnic at a nearby park. I’ll be back in an hour or two for more blogging stuffs. Anyways, I really need to go now. Ciao!

Building a Dream House

As said on my previous posts before my brother Michael and his wife are currently on the process of building their dream house and based on my estimate the house is already 70 percent finish. All the basic foundations and construction has been accomplished as well as the roofs and the floor. We visited them yesterday that are why I know how what they are working at.

Next week, as based on the engineer’s time table, wood floor installers will start to work on the floor of the house and hopefully finish installing the wood floor before this month ends. You see, my brother wanted wood type flooring instead of marbles or granites that my dad has suggested. My brother said, wood has a warmer approach in terms of comfy and elegance with respect to interior aspect.

Good thing, a Sears’s depot is just near their place, that’s why buying wood floor has been a breeze for them. Sears has everything from carpeting, tile, laminate, granite and hardwood floors. Fortunately, they also offer floor installation which can be availed on a flexible financing process. And that’s what they did. Tomorrow, the wood installers will come and beautify my brother’s dream house.

Good Housekeeping Practice by my Husband

You cannot call a house a real house without its window because as we all know; a window plays a vital role in a shelter. First of all, it provides us good ventilation when the weather is warm and covers us when the air is cool or when a hard storm is pouring. It also provides great security against any outside intruders may it be a living being or just a thing flying over the air. That is why my husband always takes care of them. He usually cleans them and checks them for improvement or for repair once a month just to make sure that they are in good condition. He always want to see them squeaky clean and he wouldn’t mind polishing them the whole afternoon. He even put some window treatments to prevent any insects from coming in the windows furnish. Oh well, that’s him and I’m really proud that he’s a bit compulsive about good housekeeping. :)

We Need a new Door Hardware

Last month we went to a local store to look for some door hardware for our bedroom door. You see, the door knob needs to be replaced because it was accidentally chip of by my son Aj while he was playing “carpenter” with his cousin. He accidentally damaged it by banging a real hammer on it. Urgh! I really have no idea where he got the hammer but since then we decided to put all “non-toy” stuffs especially those that can harm to a higher and secure place. I’m just glad that no one was hurt during that banging incident.

Rustic Furniture for my In-laws

My in -laws asked me last week to help them purchase some furniture for their new home. They specifically want to enhance their receiving area and their dining niche. So I took them to a local furniture shop to look for something that they really want and in just a few minutes, my mother in law saw this rustic furniture and fell in love with it the moment she saw it. It was so unique that she was so excited to show it to us. When I saw it, I decided that I want to have one myself too! Lol! :)

A New Closet for Us

This week will be pretty busy for my husband. As we have agreed, he will make a new wooden closet for our bedroom. Our old is really of age (20 years old) and really needs to be replaced.

We tried browsing the internet and saw some closet with organizer.



They won’t exactly look like this because he drawn a better closet than this. :) I’ll just post the finish product after my husband with the help of his dad is done with it.

Thank God It's Friday

Thank God it’s Friday! Last day for work for others but not for me. :)

Yup! We have work tomorrow even though it was declared as a special holiday by the government. Unfortunately, our company doesn’t base our working hours on proclamations because of the nature of the business.

Anyways, I got to live with that and I shouldn’t complain because it has been like that for 10 years. Oh well, time for me to ciao for a while and check out on the outdoor fireplaces that my cousin has been telling me to research on. :)
