Tips to Make Manicure Last

I always have some problems with my nails when they have some polish. Other than dry nails one of the most hated problems I have with them is the polish chip off easily.

That is why I thought of browsing the internet for tips and here's what I got.

Step 1: Prep the Surface
Swipe clean nails with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover. "Greasiness from lotion prevents polish from adhering," says Jin Soon Choi, owner of Jin Soon Natural spas in New York City. Pure acetone removes the most residue, but if it's too drying, try a nonacetone remover without hydrators like lanolin.

Step 2: Choose the Right Base
Not all clear polishes are alike: A base coat is soft and sticky, so it can expand and contract with your nails and grab color, says Jan Arnold, cofounder of CND. Try Orly Bonder Rubberized Basecoat ($10, Ulta). A top coat is formulated to be hard and shiny; if you put one under your color, you'll shortchange your manicure.

Step 3: Pick a Pearly Polish
Shimmery polishes like Essie Pink Diamond ($8, Walmart), shown, have the longest staying power. Pearlescent formulas, with their fine mica particles, are likelier to withstand wear than matte ones. For beautiful, even color, apply two thin layers: One heavy coat keeps a polish's solvents from evaporating, which leads to chips and dings.

Step 4: Top it Off
Steer clear of quick-dry top coats: What you gain in speed, you lose in protection, says Arnold. A regular top coat is thick and slow to dry, but lasts longer and is more lustrous than thinner fast actors. Save the quick-dry product for a touch-up three days after you've painted your nails.

Step 5: Oil Daily
A dry nail and hardened polish are both like glass rods, says Arnold; they fracture and break easily. Oil helps keep polish from chipping and nails from peeling. Rub a few drops of CND SolarOil ($11.50, Ulta) onto your nails before bed. Your polish may look solid, but as it dries, its evaporating solvents leave micro-channels that let nails absorb the oil.

How to Fight Hair Fall

Do you keep finding more strands of hair on your brush?

By Maui V. Reyes for Yahoo! Southeast Asia

Women lose about 40 to 120 strands of hair a day. If you've got fine hair, expect to shed more because you have more hair than your thick-tressed counterparts. It's also a fact that hair thins out as you grow older. So if this is all a natural part of life…what's the big deal about falling hair?

Some people might think that one's concern over hair fall is pure vanity. It's true that hair naturally changes in thickness and quality at different points in one's life (pregnant women get fuller, thicker hair…but start shedding once they give birth.) But women (and men!) have a pretty legit reason to be concerned, especially when they see a noticeable increase in hair fall. That's because hair fall can also be a sign of poor diet, too much stress, or something medical, like a thyroid imbalance.

Kinds of hair fall

To start, doctors like to classify "hair fall" cases under three categories:

Female Pattern Hair Loss, also known as Androgenetic Alopecia, is the most common cause of hair loss. It is a genetic disorder that can occur anytime after puberty. A good 50% of women experience this, mostly after they turn 40 years old. Stress, medications, birth control pills, and hormones can also cause it.

Telogen Effulvium, or physiologic shedding, occurs when an excess number of hair follicles suddenly stop growing. This can be caused by certain illnesses, anemia, hormonal shifts (such as pregnancy), and thyroid imbalance. It can also be the result of trauma. Studies have shown that trauma, such as the death of a loved one, can disrupt the hair's growth cycle. Unhealthy eating can also cause physiological shedding.

Lastly, there's Alopecia Areata, also known as "Allergic Alopecia". They come in the form of patchy bald spots on the head. This can easily be caused by an allergic reaction, or it could also be an immune system imbalance.

Fighting hair fall

There are a few things you can start doing at home to fight hair fall.

To start, avoid getting stressed out. See, hair grows in phases. The first phase, known as the growth phase, lasts for two years. It is then followed by a resting phase, or the "telogen phase", for three months. Whenever we get extremely stressed, almost 70% of our hair prematurely enters the telogen phase, making it fall out after three months. The good news is, new hair will most likely grow back in the next six months.

Also, make sure you're getting the right amount of vitamins and minerals. Avoid drastic diets, which can cause an imbalance in nutrition. Make sure you get adequate doses of protein, zinc, iron, and vitamin B complex.

Try to avoid exposing your hair to too many chemicals. If you love going to the salon for chemical hair treatments (that includes dyeing!), consider "resting" your hair a few months in between before going in for more tune-ups. Exposing your tresses to various chemicals (not to mention high temperatures) can cause stress on your strands.

You can also try anti-hair fall shampoos. Make sure to look for formulas that include DHT inhibitors, such as the herb palmetto. Keep an eye out for variants with plant-based oils such as coconut, lavender, evening primrose, and rosehip seed oils—it's believed that these essential oils help encourage hair growth, and could even give you thicker hair. Also check if your shampoo addresses strengthening hair at the root and not just treating hair breakage.

Steer clear though of shampoos with surfactants and too much sodium sulfate. Surfactants cause your shampoo to lather up, but doesn't really help in cleaning your hair—in fact, this added chemical can make your hair dry, causing it to break (not good for those with thin hair!). Too high concentration of sodium sulfate can damage your hair and scalp.

However, if none of the above mentioned tips work and you feel you have a serious hair fall problem, see a doctor. You can go to a dermatologist, gynecologist, or even an endocrinologist to get to the root (no pun intended!) of your hair fall problem. Some like to consult with a "trichologist", someone who has studied the science of hair and scalp. Keep in mind that it's never a good idea to self-diagnose or self-medicate.

And remember, seeing a professional about falling hair shouldn't be something to be embarrassed about. Remember, it could be a symptom of an imbalance in the body, or a signal that it's time to slow things down (remember, stay stress-free!) And besides, the worst thing you can do about your falling hair is to worry about it—so seeing a doctor is the best thing you can do to keep your mind at peace.

This has been my problem since I don't know when ( sorry I forgot). Every time I brush my hair with my comb, brush or fingers a strand never fails to fall off. Urgh! Honestly, I’m getting worried that’s why I wanted to post this article I searched for my reference in the future when I have the time to distress myself and finally has the time to take care of my hair. :( Hope I can also help others too by posting this article.

Bleaching Ingredients

I was browsing the internet this morning when my sister in law Martha suddenly called me from my cell phone. She was asking me I have some anal bleach cream that I don’t use anymore and that I can borrow. And I said, “What?” Honestly speaking it was my first time to hear such word and it was also my first time that there is a bleaching cream for our bottom.

I immediately told her that I don’t have any bleaching cream in the house though I have a friend who sells some bleacing ingredients that she might be interested on. She was quite disappointed when I uttered those words and I was a bit saddened too because I wasn’t able to help her. So to make things a little lighter for us I told her that I would help her search for the bleaching cream she was looking for.

Actually, I am also interested of trying the stuff for my personal use. I would love to have a whiter and flawless butt you know at least my husband would definitely go crazy when he sees the results, right? Lol! I myself is craving for that sexy celebrity bottom that many sexy Hollywood stars shows. And I think using a bleaching cream is more practical than have your bleaching done thru cosmetic surgery or spa, right?

Good thing, I was able to find a great site where we can choose the best bleaching cream by comparing the reviews. I saw their reviews and their prices and I think I would choose the perfect rating of 10. Fortunately, it was quite affordable and can fit on our budget for this month. Hopefully, I can order this week and it will reach my doorstep before this month ends. I thought of surprising my sister in law for this one and thought of giving it as a gift for her birthday.

Celeb Manicures: From Bright Colors to Bling

Katy Perry may be the queen of the out-of-this-world manicure (we've got four of her best ones here), but lots of celebs—from musicians to starlets—are rocking wild nails. These are some of our favorite styles—like polka-dots, studs and weird decals.

Rhinestones
Katy Perry's "disco ball" nails may have been responsible for the whole wild mani trend in the first place.

Cute Cartoons

Leave it to Katy Perry to push the envelope with kittens and french fries on her nails.

Lacy Ladies

Another Katy Perry gem: These lace overlays are totally original—and also really sexy.

Featuring Faces

In honor of the Royal Wedding, the one-and-only Katy Perry wore pics of Wills and Kate on her nails.

Big-Time Studs

Ke$ha's another rocker who loves a loud mani. Here, her pyramid-studded nails play off her accessories.

Artsy Designs

Disney star Nicole Anderson rocks a lilac and teal abstract print.

New Lengths
Lady Gaga's signature nail look is long, bedazzled and definitely out there. (We want to know how she tweets wearing these!)

Pop of Color

Why wear just one bright color, when you can mix and match? Jessica Lowndes opts for pink—with a pop of coral on her ring finger.

Matching Metallics

Vanessa Hudgens also does the ring-finger thing! She wears a shimmery, silver mani with subtly green polish that plays off her eyeshadow.

Graphic Prints

Glee's Naya Rivera rocks a whimsical polka-dot print.

Bold Hues

AnnaLynne McCord may be a little too excited about her bright blue mani, but the color is certainly gorge.

Half-Moon

This look was spotted backstage at many a fashion show last season. It's like a reverse French and works best in bright and metallic shades.

Would You Try Fake Bangs?

These super-pretty pics of 18-year-old, Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice are from three days in a row. But are you seeing what we're seeing about her morphing hairstyles?

She had awesome, piecey bangs on Friday but by Sunday they had totally disappeared...which makes us wonder if maybe her cute fringe was fake. Her bangs do look a lot like this very cool clip-in from Hairdo by Ken Paves and Jessica Simpson. Or it could just be that her stylist went crazy with the hairspray and hid those bangs incredibly well. Maybe. Regardless, the clip-in version may just be the perfect way to test out a sexy, bang-centric look.

Hairstyles that Men Loves

My hair has always been a problem. It’s like in every day of my life, I keep asking myself of what hairstyle would look good on me and of course would make me a bombshell as well.

Yup! Even though I’m married, I still dream to be a hot babe! Lol! Don’t get me wrong for saying that, all I want is to look attractive to people who sees me (especially my husband) and I return appreciate my effort.

Anyways, I want to end this problem so I thought of searching the internet for articles that would give me the answer. What hair does men loves??? And this is what I’ve got from Yahoo Shine:

Bombshell Blowout

Why Guys Love It: Every guy drools over Megan Fox for her smoking bod and luscious lips, but they'd also love to run their fingers through her smooth, shiny hair. "Shine draws guys in because it's a sign of youth and vitality," adds Fisher.

How to Get It: Apply smoothing cream to damp hair. While blow-drying, use a medium-sized round brush and work from the bottom layers up. Pin the top portion out of your way and point the nozzle down to flatten the cuticle. When your mane is dry, mist on a thermal-straightening spray (the kind heat activates like Dove Heat Defense Therapy Mist, $5). Glide a flatiron over strands to kill any flyaways and seal in silkiness. Rake a tiny drop of shine serum through ends with your fingers for a superglossy movie-star finish.

Straight-up Sexy

Why Guys Love It: From an evolutionary perspective, guys subconsciously like hair that looks clean and healthy, like Anna Faris's blond locks. "Hair that's in top condition shows that you have a balanced diet and good health -- signs of an ideal mate," says biological anthropologist Helen Fisher PhD.

How to Get It: Work a silicone-based straightening serum through damp hair before blow-drying. Clip locks in 4-6 sections depending on how thick your hair is. Then tackle one at a time with a paddle brush and a blow-dryer equipped with a nozzle pointed straight down. Finish with a light shine spray.

Sexy Shag

Why Guys Love It: Jennifer Hudson shows off her neck and frames her face with this short bob. "Short and choppy, the new bob accentuates your cheekbones and eyes," says celeb stylist Oscar Blandi.

How to Get It: Start with a protective styling spray to maintain shine like Got2b Guardian Angel Protect N' Blow Out Lotion and Gloss Finish, $6. Then, divide hair into two-inch sections and blow-dry straight. Finish by using a flat-iron to flip out your ends slightly.

Pretty Pixie

Why Guys Love It: "Confident chicks don't need to hide behind long hair," says salon owner Roy Teeluck. Plus, soft, face-framing bangs come across as supersensual. Ginnifer Goodwin's peekaboo fringe is flirty and mischievous.

How to Get It: Use a lightweight smoothing styler and a natural bristle brush to blow-dry hair smooth and forward. For control, spread a wax-based pomade in your palms, then pat it from roots to ends. Tuck extralong pieces behind your ear with a bobby pin.

Bad Girl Bump

Why Guys Love It: The small pouf (and we're not talking The Snookie here) adds a subtle dose of glamour to any look. That's why it's such a hot red-carpet go-to. "Wearing your hair up bares your most seductive features, like your neck and shoulders," explains celeb stylist Ken Paves. Hilary Duff looks pretty yet punk with this 'do.

How to Get It: Part dry, straight hair from above the arches of each brow back to the crown to create a mini ponytail. Twist the top of the tail, and push hair forward to create volume, then secure with a large barrette or bobby pins. Gather the rest into a bun and mist with a holding spray (try Vavoom Shapemaker Shaping Spray, $15).

Relaxed Updo

Why Guys Love It: Nikki Reed's bun looks simple and elegant yet still touchable. The hair that falls into her face prevents the updo from looking too severe. "Men couldn't care less if your strands are perfectly styled and neat. In fact, he might like you more with some wildness or bedhead, since it shows you're carefree and relaxed," says Fisher.

How to Get It: Make a low side ponytail, leaving a few pieces loose around your face. Twist the length of your ponytail, and wrap it into a figure-eight shape รข€” smoosh it up against your scalp, and tuck the ends into the loop. Insert a few hairpins or tiny barrettes to lock it all in place. Finish with a mist of light-weight hair spray that'll give you extra hold minus any stickiness, like Paul Mitchell Worked Up, $15.

Sexy Side Pony
Why Guys Love It: "An assymetrical updo is universally flattering for all face shapes because nobody's features are perfectly aligned," says NYC celeb stylist Nathaniel Hawkins. That means a side pony is an easy way to make sure no one notices your flaws. America Ferrera's look is soft without looking sloppy or overdone.

How to Get It: Rub on a smoothing gel like L'Oreal Professional Texture Expert Gelee Riche, $20 through wet strands. Blow-dry hair over to one side to create hold. Then use your fingers to gather hair low under the ear and secure with an elastic band (keep it loose so the bun doesn't look too prissy).

Schoolgirl Pony

Why Guys Love It: Play up your naughty cheerleader with Michelle Trachtenberg's easy updo. The look works best when the pony is a bit relaxed. "Loose hair with tons of movement is such a hot look," says Tresemme stylist Nathaniel Hawkins.

How to Get It : Set hair with styling cream then curl with a medium barrel iron from ears to ends. Using a fine-tooth comb, sweep hair up, secure it directly above your crown, then wrap a few strands around the elastic. Mist on hair spray for hold.

Hopefully, I could get even one of these gorgeous hair dos on me soon! If not, I just might buy perfume that will surely lure my husband to me. lol! Will update you if that happens! Lol! :)

Makeup Tips to Open your Eyes

No matter your age, your eyes do a lot of "talking." You want your eyes to look luminous, alert and youthful. Some women, me included, weren't blessed with gorgeous "doe" eyes that look perpetually surprised. However, as long as I have makeup, I can fake it! If you have squinchy or small-looking eyes open your peepers with these tried and true makeup tips.

Go light! I blame it on the ever-popular smoky look that I do love so much. As a former makeup artist, I learned that you could get a smoky look without using black, brown or deep green colors. Go smoky but light! Blend in colors with a brush not a sponge applicator.

Buy quality eyeshadow. Not all eyeshadows are made alike. Cheap shadows are just colored powder with very little pigment. Invest in pretty, bold colors that will open the eyes.

Don't go topless! I cringe when I see women with tiny eyes line the lower lids only. Line the tops or the top and bottom -- never just the bottom. If your eyes are very small, ditch the lower liner. Line the top and extend the line a little past the natural eye line. This will lift and open the eye. Don't believe me? Do the eye test. Make one eye up with just the liner on top and the other with liner on bottom. Compare the two. You'll see the clear winner.

Curl those lashes. Wild and woolly eyelashes won't help your eyes look wider. Control your lashes with a eyelash curler. Do this once a day to train lashes to flip up and outward, creating a wider eye look.

Rim the eyes with white liner. White eyeliner is no stranger on the makeup scene but we do tend to forget about this tool. Make lining the lower eye rim with white liner the last step in your eye makeup regimen. All eyes will be on you with this added touch.

Go inside. Sweeping eyeshadow in the crease of the eye is a good way to create definition. One thing to avoid is applying eyeshadow too close to the edge of the eye. Instead focus on making an inverted arc, go from the inside of the eye outward.

Wear highlighting powder. Use a soft brush to sweep a shimmery highlighting powder around the eyes. Highlighting adds luminosity to your eye makeup look.

Beauty Tips to Look Sexier

Hands up if you've ever found yourself in a beauty rut? You know what I'm talking about--tan eyeshadow on the lid, boring pink lipstick and a swipe or two of mascara. Off to work, school or the ballpark, all looking very predictable. Boring! Inside is a sexy you dying to some turn heads. You can do it with these nine sizzling beauty tips.

Rock vixen hair! You don't need a drastic new hair cut - just add this sexy style to your hair repertoire. Wash your hair and then towel dry it. Add a touch of styling gel to your locks, working it in with your hands. Don't brush. Place a diffuser over your blow dryer and dry your locks. This "bed head" look will have his thoughts racing. Scented hair is easy and slinky. Use hair products that don't have scent. Instead, spray your hair lightly on the ends with your favorite perfume. As your hair moves, you'll leave behind some sultry fragrance.

Stain lips and cheeks. Staining gives color without leaving icky, gloopy lipsticks behind. Instead rolling on the gloss, try a stain. Stains are long-lasting and are good way to make your lips look really kissable! Tap your cheeks with lip stain to get a rosy glow.

Get on top - at least with your eye liner. Avoiding lining the entire eye with black liner. You'll look hooker-ish instead of sexy. Try this. Line the top lashes only starting at the inner most eye then drawing to the center, just above the pupil. Finish the line by drawing from the center to about ½ past your lash line. Give the end of the eyeliner a little lift upwards. Smooth over the liner with a deep purple or sultry blue eyeshadow. Use the tip of a sponge applicator.

Wear stockings. Stockings have been sexy for generations. Don't fight it! Pantyhose and thigh highs are a feminine accessories that guys love to touch.Colored nail tips scream "ooh la la!" Even nature girls should give it a try. Paint toes and fingernails an exciting color. Of course, before giving yourself a paint job, trim and shape your nails.

Shine, baby shine with sparkling eye accents. Don't go overboard with a completely frosted look but do add a sparkling metallic highlighter to your upper lids or under your lower lashes.

Puff those lips with a lip plumper. Temporary lip plumpers cause lips to swell slightly giving you fuller, sexier lips.

Show some confidence. Confidence is the feature that makes us the most sexy. Smile, hold your head up, walk with confidence!

How to Make the Prettiest Ponytail: The Hollywood Style

Want to have the celebrity style pony tail?

Well, it’s a great fix during a bad hair day. Cover it up with a pretty tail with these red carpet-inspired tricks.

1. Use a paddle brush to remove any tangles, then comb your hair straight back so that you don't have a part.

2. Now tip your head back, and gather strands into a ponytail. Leaning creates volume plus prevents part lines and bumps.

3. When gathered hair is level with your eyes, secure it with an elastic band. Wrap it tight (shoot for three loops) so that the band doesn't sag and look sloppy. Then take small chunk of strands and wrap it around the elastic band, securing it with a couple bobby pins.

4. Style your bangs — don't slick them back into the ponytail. And let short layers hang naturally, rather than forcing them into the elastic. A wispy, piecey look is sexy.

5. Section off the tail into three parts, and wrap each around a curling iron for 10 seconds. Gently brush out the curls for a bouncy, total bombshell effect.

6. To fight frizz, pat a drop of John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion, $6.49, over your finished style.

That’s it! Try it and let’s see how many camera clicks you’ll get. :)

Babyliss Flat Iron

I’m currently looking for the best curling iron in the internet. Why? For the curling iron I purchased from a local store is now malfunctioning. Yes, you heard it right, the iron was just purchase a month ago and it is now damage! Urgh! I really hate this when something like this happens. I think this has been my third curling iron already! That’s why I decided not to buy from that store anymore and just look for some dependable and heavy duty curling irons in the internet. Besides, most likely that the items that online stores sells are mostly authentic and are made from good quality.

Fortunately, I came across Flat Iron Experts an online beauty where you can buy everything that can make you beautiful! They sell different iron brands, various styling tools like wax warmers, hair dryers, curling irons, hair brushes, clippers, hot rollers, combs, diffusers, hair extensions, hair care and cosmetics and many more. Anyways, after browsing the whole website I’m planning to buy a babyliss curling iron.

Just like this Babyliss Pro Tournmaline Ceramic curling iron that I saw from their website.

The size of this iron is about ¾ inch and weighs about 1 pound. And guess what this item is on sale! Its original price is $114.99 but anyone can buy it now at only $84.95 only! Yup! You save about $30.04 and you can get it at a free shipping deal! Wow! Isn’t that a great deal or what? Urgh! I just can’t wait to order this curling iron and use it for my makeover plans. :)

I’m just hoping that my husband’s credit card is still working and hopefully he’ll lend it to me. Lol! Hmm.. I think it’s time for me to start convincing him about this purchase. I’ll update you if I’ll be successful. Lol! :)

Flattening my Tummy After Pregnancy

Before I finish my search about door kick plates, I would like to update you guys about my recovery. Today is my 5th day of recovery after giving birth to my second baby boy Zack.

And because of that, other than healing some delivery wounds, I’m currently on the process of flattening my tummy. I had searched the internet about some tips and ways to trim down my bulging tummy. Fortunately, I found a lot of articles that could help me like the right exercise, right food to eat and one of them is a cream to help trim down the fats. There was also one article about the usage of girdles for total flattening of the stomach and that I might try in a few days. Will update you about it in the following days :)

Time for a Total Makeover

My nine months of being pregnant is finally over. Which means it’s time for me for a TOTAL MAKEOVER! Lol!

I got a feeling that after a year or so I will miss the feeling of having a little baby inside my tummy. But of course, I don’t have any plans of getting pregnant soon for I have to adjust myself emotionally, financially and physically.

Speaking of adjusting my physical self, I really have a lot to change in terms of my overall appearance. One of them is my skin. Since I become pregnant my skin change in terms of elasticity and its color. I also developed lots of blackheads especially around my nose. I asked my OB about it and she said that the changes are all caused by the hormones during pregnancy and it will soon disappear as soon as I give birth.

Quite amazingly, after days of giving birth, most of my dark spots are slowly lightening and in terms of my blackheads they are still there and I think I would need a blackhead remover to totally eliminate them. Well, I will definitely buy a medication for that after all my wounds are healed and finally recover from my delivery.

KQC Flat Irons

I was checking out some cool stuff in the internet when I accidentally stumbled upon this kqc flat iron.

This is KQC’s one of the best flat irons so far. It has a 1 inch size in width and weights about 1 pound. It works well in a power outage of 410 degrees Fahrenheit. This usually costs about $249.95 but because they are on sale you can now grab this flat iron at only $159.95! Plus you can grab its free shipping deals when you buy now on their online store.

And because of that I myself is excited to buy and own one soon! As I said on my previous posts I’m really planning to devote my time after giving birth to my second child a total makeover of myself specifically my hair. Unfortunately, my hair went out of control from the time I got pregnant and cannot do anything about it like putting something on it or submit it for a treatment because the chemicals and the heat of the hair tools might have bad effects on my unborn child. That’s why my target date for the makeover is July ( a month after I dellver and coincidentally my birth month). I just hope by that time I am fully recovered and all my hair tools has arrived on my doorsteps so I can get started.

Anyways, besides me I might ask my friend Rodel who owns a beauty salon in our place to check on these heavy duty flat irons. You see, he has been complaining about the flat and curling irons he purchased from a local store and it only took him 3 months to use them properly. It was too late when he discovered that he made a major mistake on purchasing cheaper units. Tough luck huh?

The Best Flat Irons, Hair Dryers and Curlers Online

Are you looking for the best curling irons online? Well, you better read this post a little further for this might end your search. I’ve recently discovered an online store where thy offer not only hair irons but also the best hair dryers in the online market. Flatironexperts.com is the website I’m talking about. Flat Iron Experts is an online beauty store that offers the best hair beauty tools and best hair care for every woman needs. They also make reviews about flat irons and hair straighteners that tend to help their consumer about what hair tool they will buy.

My friend Vivian recommended me the site when I asked her where I can buy the best flat iron that would last a lifetime. Fortunately, she was right. As of this date, the flat iron I purchased from them is still in excellent condition. Unlike the ones I’ve purchase before on a nearby beauty store which only lasted about two weeks only! Urgh! Just imagine the money I need to save and spent just to purchase it. I really felt terrible and devastated when that happened. It’s like my interest on hair beauty tools suddenly disappeared out of disappointment. But now, my cravings are back because of Flat Iron Experts.:)

Aging Lips Quick Remedy

This was my dilemma since I became 30. That’s why I tried searching the internet and some beauty magazines for some tips and product guide for me to use and relieve the pain of my aging lips. And when I saw one I immediately tried using it and whala! Ease to the fullness! So what did I apply?

Just this Nivea’s Lip Effect Q10 Plus did the trick. At only available at P175 on department stores I immediately felt a younger after feel of my lips. This lip care is enriched with CoEngyme Q10 + to reduce the appearance of fine lines, to activate the skin’s natural anti-aging mechanism, making it wonderfully emollient.

By the way, here’s an advice I got from my Lancome makeup artist Tatin Yang on how to take care of your lips.

1.) Apply lip balm to fill in the cracks, avoid flaking and dryness, and plump up your lips.

2.) Allow it to be absorbed for a while before using a facial towel dipped in warm water to slough off dead skin cells from chapped lips. Clean up any residue with tissue paper.

3.) Finish off by applying an anti-aging lip care product.

4.) Yang also recommends applying eye cream around the contours of your lips as a last step.

Quick Fix for Greasy or Oily Hair

"No matter how much I wash my hair, it looks greasy. What should I do? “

If oil is your bugaboo, try a dry shampoo spray, which typically contains corn starch, silica or clay to soak up excess oil. Because it comes in aerosol form you can apply it lightly yet thoroughly.

The best technique: Lift up sections of hair and spritz directly onto scalp and roots. Let hair sit for a minute and brush, which takes the oil right out and adds body without leaving any residue. If you have curly hair, save your waves by gently dabbling roots with clean makeup sponge to remove shampoo instead of brushing.

TO PREVENT YOUR NEXT OIL SLICK

Treat you scalp like skin. Scan list of ingredients in shampoos for one’s you‘d find in skin-care products for oily complexions.

Skip conditioner. If you have oily hair, your natural oils moisturize enough; you don’t need any extra.

Seek out alcohol. Look for root lifters and volumizing sprays that contain alcohol as one of the first few ingredients. Just remember that when you apply it, target only your scalp and roots; stay away from midshaft and ends so you don’t parch them.

Wax a Bit Less

Whether you choose to remove a little hair from your bikini line or take it all off, what matters is that you feel comfortable with the process. Which brings to mind the Brazilian and why you might want to consider forgoing those bare-as-a-baby results (besides the obvious reason –pain!)? But I think most of us don’t know that pubic hair acts as a natural buffer against chafing. And, as you get older, you’ll want to leave some hair there for camouflage because everything and I mean everything sags eventually.

Experts usually suggest developing a protective yet groomed V shape. If you’re doing your own waxing at home, choose a formula with antiseptic tea tree oil or soothing lavender (such as Sally Hansen Lavender Spa Body Wax Hair removal kit). The ingredients thinly coat skin, so wax grabs only hair, easing pain.

If a razor is your weapon of choice, try the dual-ended Schick Quattro for Women Trimstyle which sports a shower friendly battery-powered trimmer on one end ( to get even tiny hairs) and a razor on the other end ( for a satiny finish). Be sure to wet skin thoroughly and use a slick hydrating cream (such as EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave cream in Lavender Jasmine) to help prevent irritation. Move the blade against your natural hair growth for ultra-smooth results.
