You Are Successful

You know what you want, and you know how to get it. You have a one track mind when it comes to success.
You enjoy working hard, but not so much that you don't also enjoy the fruits of your labor.

You can't sit still. You are bored to tears if you're not being productive.
You don't want to waste your time - or your life. You want to matter.

It's Time to Shine

My cousin Meyan is a very fashionable person. She’s the type that makes sure that she looks fabulous always. One time, when she was in our house, she asks me if I knew someone that can teach her cosmetology. She said that after her graduation in college, she plans to put up a salon near their house.

Fortunately, I have a friend who is an expert on that and she just earned a degree at a Cosmetology School in Austin Austin last year. She comes home to establish her very own beauty salon and develop her own beauty line and as of now she’s really doing great. :)

Oh well, I just hope Meyan will fulfill her dream in the years to come. Goodluck Cuz! :)

I Hope all is Well

On this day of your life, Edralin, we believe God wants you to know ... that all is well.

All is going according to plan. Trust that there is a bigger picture. Trust that life is unfolding as it should.

I really hope that everything will go out well this time. I’m currently on the verge of a life crisis. Urgh! I just hate this feeling of bad vibes. :(

A Cast of Clouds

Captured this from our backyard. :)

A Special Gift

Last summer my friends and I decided to go out of town to relax and unwind ourselves.
So we went to the province of our grandparents to pay them a little visit. When we arrived they were really surprise when they saw me. Well, it has been 5 years since my visit to their house. Life has been very busy on my side of world that’s why. :)

Anyways, they welcomed us with a nice warm hug with me having a bonus kiss on the forehead. I was quite shy because all my friends were looking at me and smiling. After that my grandparents served us with my favorite food- ADOBO (meat simmered on soy sauce) and I tell you, my grandmother’s abodo is the best tasting abobo in the Philippines! We spent about 2 days in my grandparent’s house and when we were about to leave they give me a farewell kiss and my grandfather gave me a gift. He handed me a handful of gold coins. I was really shocked when I received it, I was hesitant at first but he insisted and I gladly accepted it. Thanks Grandpa! You’re the best! :)

On This Day...

" On this day of your life, Edralin, we believe God wants you to know ... that you are a human being, not a human doing."

Take time to just be, to breathe slowly, to feel your body that is the temple of your soul. No activities, no worries, no buzzing.

Oh my God! I wish I could do that today but I have so many things to do and relaxing is not on my number 1 priority list right now. Urgh!

Gold Coin Do Last Forever

A friend of mine asked me for an advice on how to put his money in a good investment. So before I answered him, I’ve done a little research to be more accurate and I found out that gold coin is a good investment.

Not just gold last forever, just the value itself doesn’t go down. And the good thing about gold coins is they are easy to maintain and it's easy to store because of their size. Gold coin is also highly collectibles because a lot of people collect them with the reason of their value. That is why I recommended to my friend to invest into it and the I was relieved that he did.

Goodluck Bro! :)

Shopping Online

Vests, skirts, skinny jeans and hanging shirts are considered fashionable nowadays. Though I’m not really into those stuffs I do love buying elegant tops and peeking on stylish pants especially if they enhances my back. I usually buy these stuffs on mall stalls when I have the luxury of time and the constraint on money. Lol! :)

But at times, even though I have the budget and the cravings to shop for new clothes I just can’t go out because of my busy schedule. That’s why shopping online is the only option I thought to fulfill my passion to shop. Well, there are many benefits on shopping online. One is that you can save precious time and effort by just browsing and clicking the mouse to finish your purchase – and you can finish that in just minutes! Unlike in stores where you have to talk to the sales clerk, stand on long lines and wait for your turn at the cashier – a process that is time and energy consuming, right?

In other words, shopping online is the wisest thing to do when you need to do something else than shopping but of course before buying you have to be sure that online shop is a reputable store for you to prevent being scammed. I recommend Become.com for your very first purchase! :)

Listen to Your Heart

"On this day of your life, Edralin, we believe God wants you to know ... that it's your heart that knows who loves you, not your ears or eyes."

Listen to the words, and you can be fooled. Look at the actions, and you can be fooled. Feel deeply into your heart, and then you will know the truth. Who makes your heart soar now? Well, what are you waiting for?

Oh my... this message strike me directly to my heart! What to do? :(

Thank God It's Friday

Thank God it’s Friday! Last day for work for others but not for me. :)

Yup! We have work tomorrow even though it was declared as a special holiday by the government. Unfortunately, our company doesn’t base our working hours on proclamations because of the nature of the business.

Anyways, I got to live with that and I shouldn’t complain because it has been like that for 10 years. Oh well, time for me to ciao for a while and check out on the outdoor fireplaces that my cousin has been telling me to research on. :)

Gold Coin

I was browsing my emails this morning when I noticed a topic about smart investments. I got curious and thought of reading it even though I’m not really into investments right now.

But when I got deeper into the mail, a little spot of interested sparked when I saw the article about the gold coin that the writer invested on. He said that one of the greatest investments that man could ever have are buying precious minerals such as gold, silvers and diamonds. I do agree on that statement because precious minerals never get out-dated plus their value accumulates as year pass by.

Well, I might consider investing on it if money and time permits. We’ll see! :)

Antioxidants in Coffee | Beauty Tips

Coffee has set its pace in the world because of its delicious taste and addictive smell. It became even hotter when they discovered that coffee can also enhance ones health and beauty. That is because of the antioxidant it has in every bean.

Antioxidants are nature’s way of fighting free radicals. Free radicals on the other hand are molecules that mess up good cells or in other words mess up your skin. That’s why antioxidants like ones present in fruits, vegetables and coffee are the best bullies for those free radicals.

Yup! You read it right? Coffee! The best part is coffee has more antioxidants than green tea! So, imagine how much it can do for your body and for your budget – no more make up shopping! So, what are waiting for? Sip a cup now like what I'm currently doing while blogging! Lol! :)

Wordless Wednesday : Bleeding Fruit

More wordless photos here.

Homemade Hot Oil

The hair is the crowning glory of every human, especially women. That’s why it is very important that we take good care of it. One of the most famous and most effective hair treatments that will make your hair shiny and soft is hot oil.

But what will you do if you don’t have enough money to have the treatment?

If you can’t afford luxurious hair treatments or don’t have time to run to a salon, make your own at-home oil treatment.

Here’s what you’ll need:

2 teaspoons jojoba oil
1 teaspoon soybean oil

How to prepare it:

Mix jojoba and soybean oil then use a stove or microwave to warm the mixture gently on low heat. Test its temperature on your inner forearm. Massage mixture into your hair thoroughly. Wrap hair in a hot towel or cover with shower cap or plastic wrap for 15 minutes or longer. Shampoo and rinse thoroughly.

That’s it and when your done, you’ll have visibly shinier and softer hair. :)

Perfect Lighting

Our new plant is currently in search for perfect perimeter lighting that’s why my boss told me to look online. I gathered some data and thought of proposing a brinkmann q beam with LED night vision. I think this one is very efficient in terms of conserving energy because of its LED structure.

Anyways, I think I did my job and the decision is now at the hand of the management.

Out of Control

Aj just turned 4 years old exactly a week ago and because he’s officially on his preschool age, his behavior is as “out of control” as ever.

Just look at him here while waiting for the mass to start. He literally ran towards the altar and sat on the chairs of the servers. Urgh! He even stayed for a second or more just to stare on the paintings of the church dome.

Oh, he’s so malikot talaga!

Good thing, I don’t have hypertension, if not I might be rushed at the hospital that very moment!lol! :)

When Will I Ever?

I’ve always wanted to buy gold bars but unfortunately I really can’t afford one right now, not even a single morsel of it. Especially now that a gold bar could cost about $40T or more in the market, my hope for a gold investment is remotely possible.

But you know what? If ever I become rich, buying a bar would be on my priority list. Why? Because based on my research, precious minerals like diamonds, gold and silver are one of the greatest investments a human can ever have. Their value never ceases to accumulate and their life span is longer than ours. Maybe that alone supports the thought that they are definitely the greatest asset ever.

Oh! When will I ever???

God’s Message

... for me today is...

“ On this day of your life, Edralin, we believe God wants you to know ... that decision is only wishful thinking until you take that first irreversible step. “

You can tell yourself that you have already decided, that nothing now can stop you, but if that step backwards is so much safer than step forwards, what will hold you true to your path when the going gets tough? Sometimes, the right thing to do is to take that first irreversible step, the one after which you cannot go back. And now, for you, is one of those times.

What if I’m afraid to take that irreversible step? I know I should do it but how? I don't even know where to start? HELP! =' (

I Hate Mouth Sores

Ouch!I’m currently in pain because of these mouth sores under my lips. They’ve been bugging since last week and I haven’t been relieved from them until this date. Urgh!

That’s why I tried browsing the internet for home remedies that I’m planning to do to alleviate the pain even just a bit. Fortunately, I’ve found something that’s worth trying. They said that it can soothe the pain I’m experiencing.

• Gargling with hot water, or holding hot water in the mouth on the area of the ulcer, helps to relieve the pain. This should be done 3-4 times a day.

• Boil some zyziphus leaves in water to make a strong herbal tea, and use this to gargle 3-4 times a day.

• Make a light decoction of guava leaves and gargle with it 3-4 times a day.

• Add half a teaspoon of turmeric and one-fourth of a teaspoon of rock salt in a glass of hot water. Gargle with it thrice a day.

• A teaspoon of roasted, pounded neem bark mixed with half a teaspoon of catechu, and this powder applied on an ulcer, causes intense salivation. This should be spat out, and then the person should gargle with warm water 3-4 times a day.

• Applying boro-glycerine thrice a day causes intense salivation followed by relief.

• To half a teaspoon of fine, powdered small cardamoms, add half a teaspoon of roasted, powdered alum. Take a pinch of the mixture, place it on the ulcer and close the mouth. There will be intense salivation. Keep it in the mouth for 30 seconds and then spit it out. Gargle with warm water and repeat the whole process once again. Do this 2-3 times a day.

• Catechu can also be made into a powder, and then into a thick paste with water. Apply this on the ulcers.

• Jasmine, which grows well in hilly areas, has varied properties, one of which ;s to soothe pain and heal chronic skin inflammation / ulcers of the mucous membrane.

• Make a cut in the thick stem of a banyan tree. A drop of the sap added to a drop of honey, and applied on the ulcer, heals it. Apply 2-3 times a day.

• Chew fresh carrot leaves and then wash it out with water. It prevents putrefaction of the slough at the base of the mouth ulcers.

• A herbal tea made with a few crushed henna leaves added to a cup of lukewarm water, and then used as a gargle, soothes the ulcerated surface.

• A decoction of rose petals, with a dash of lime, used as a gargle, is also soothing when done 3-4 times a day.

• Take a handful of fresh, tender tamarind leaves. Make an infusion with a glass of hot. water. It has anti microbial properties, and its mildly acidic taste clears the loss of taste and unclean feeling in the mouth.

I'm happy that there are a lot of ways to make these sores disappear. Though I'm not sure if I can do most of the tips but maybe the hot water with rock salt or the guava leaves solution can already help me with my dilemma. :)
