Brandy Glasses, Candle Holders and more

Thank God it’s Friday once again! Before I check out this Lolita glasses that I saw online let me tell you about some facts about my life when I was younger.

Friday was used to be one of my favorite days of the week. Why? Well, because it is the last day of school and the last day of work for most of us. But apparently, it became Saturday because my working days suddenly shifted and was extended one day (which was the fault of my former boss).

Anyways, I’m just on the reminiscing mode again and I can help but reminisce the past with my friends. I remember that every Saturday my co workers and some of my friends go out after work for some bonding session. I remember that we usually go to a bar and have a little drink. We usually have this special bar that we would go every Saturday and because the management of the said establishment was happy to see us every week, they decided to give each and one of us a treat. And you know what it is? They gave us brandy glasses that are especially made and use by us. Yup! They were so kind and we couldn’t thank them enough especially when they gave us customized candle holders for their first anniversary. Aren’t they the most thoughtful bar owner around? I think, you wouldn’t see anything like that in other places. Well, we’re lucky enough to find one.

Oh well, those were the days when I have nothing to do but go out and drink. Lol! But of course, today is a different thing. I am already a mom and a wife and going out every week is not a good thing to do, especially now that I’m pregnant. But when I’m thru with my delivery and I was able to adjust with my new baby, maybe a night or so wouldn’t hurt especially if my husband is with me, right? Hmm.. we’ll see. :)

A Birthday Break with Friends

It was Rose’s 31st birthday and she thought of treating us at a Native restaurant at our place. :)


I think it was Monday when Rose decided that we go out after work and had a slowdown after a very hectic and tiring day of office supply inventory.


Everything turned our fine and we had a real cool day.

Time to Remember

I’m preparing for a busy week this time. Well, for the fact that it’s the last whole week of November and the Christmas month is about to enter, I really have the reason to be busy about.

But somehow, as I was jotting down on my daily journal, I thought of sneaking in some meet-ups with friends. My long friend Sarah just text me a while and asks me if we can see each other within the week. Though, I know I’ll be as busy as a bee, I opted to say “yes” because I know she needs it (based on the tone of her voice) and I think I might have to power to be flexible and be a friend even for a day.

I’ve known Sarah since we were in college and she’s currently offering call center services and has been loving the job ever since. Anyways, I do hope we can meet by Friday and unwind. :)

Nikko's Birthday Bash

Last June 6, Saturday was my friend’s birthday.

The “party” was supposed to be that Saturday but because I wasn’t around to greet him that day because of my brother’s wedding, he decided to make the whole bash that Friday.
Our initial plan was to go to Lakeshore and have some picnic fun. But because of the bad weather my hubby suggested we go somewhere native and eat in. Good thing, a native resto was on the road and we decided to munch there.

Apag Marangle was the name of the place, it’s a kapampangan word which means “Eating in the Farm “. Sure enough, we we’re like eating in the farm field because of its kubo’s (wooden houses) and palaisdaan (fish ponds) view plus the very delicious native foods.

We ordered lots of foods that really made us full but what really made me happy was the bonding we had as officemates and friends. :)

My SIL Arlyn has been married for 3 years now and she has successfully given birth to a bouncing baby boy last year. Now after getting big and baggy, she decided to loose weight months after her delivery. And today she has successfully reduced her weight to the maximum level. Whoa! (Congrats sis!)



Now, she thought of buying a new set of sexy lingerie for her to use to lure her husband once again. Lol! God I want be surprised if she gets pregnant again this year, lol!

Anyways, her thought to bring the heat back with her hubby is just normal and
exciting right? I see nothing wrong with that. And for me that’s a good call on her side because in some ways, her hubby would want her even more because she brings more excitement to their relationship, In short, being experimental and sexy can really ease the boredom away. Am I right or what? :) That’s why I might be buying some of those sexy lingerie’s she has been bugging me about. I just hope they’ll look good on me. Lol!

So for those who want something new or some spark again in your boring relationship, try wearing sexy lingerie for your enjoyment. :)

It's Finished

It’s finished. My friend was finally laid to rest last Sunday.


At that time all I want was to burst my emotions and I did. I wept until I had no tears to ooze and until my eyes hurt and got baggy. I wanted to cry because I wanted him to see that I care for him more then he knows – an emotion that I haven’t really showed when he was still alive. {*regretting*}. I cried from the time they pulled him out of his place till the time they closed his coffin at the cemetery. The feeling was unbearable. I accompanied his wife and made myself strong, knowing she feels worst than I am and that she could break at anytime and she did. :(

Red and I have known each other since 2001, by 2003 he was transferred to my department. He was my assistant on every task that I do. Everyday we have different transactions to share (work and nonwork-related) and more often than work is those days of just being a friend and an argue mate which I really miss. From the time we met, we see and talk to each other everyday for almost 8 hours a day, 6 days a week and we did that for almost 8 years! So imagine how I felt when our supervisor on duty called me at 3:30 in the morning on that dreadful day of January 7, 2009, the day where his life was cut short! :(

Since that day I never had a serene sleep because all I see was his image (each time I close my eyes). I never felt this kind of pain before, maybe because his death was unexpected and unbearable. He could have survived if he was careful and responsible enough. Urgh! :(

Or maybe what pains me more is that my hope of having a joyous and fruitful start this year had suddenly perished because of death! :,(

Hush! Enough of this! I need to move on and just think of that fact that he’s now in peace. No worries, no pain, no stresses or whatever, just peace. And all I have to think now are those unforgettable happy, wacky memories that we had when he was still with us.

Or maybe for a while.. I might convince myself that he just resigned and left for abroad and that he may never come back home… maybe… in time.

We will miss you ...

I can't believe he's GONE...

Yesterday, January 7, 2009, was one of the worst days of my life.

A dear friend of mine had bid goodbye forever and today was even worse because of the realization that I have to accept that the days with him are finally over. God! The fact of his death hasn’t really sunk into my system and each time I remember his death, tears can’t help but fall from my eyes.

In reality, the cause of death was nonsense for me. Somehow, my thoughts say that its better that he could have died with an illness or better that he could have perished of something nobler than negligence. Yes, his death was cause by his own negligence, a situation that he could have pass if he was careful and aware enough of his consciousness.

Hay, I really can’t relay the whole story now and I can’t say his name yet because a friend of mine who is also a blogger doesn’t know he’s gone, Till then I have to keep it all to me.

Now this following blogger that I want to present this is more of like A Million Dollar Blogger for I haven't really met them in person, mostly just chatted with them online, but their blog has been a place for me to visit and I get inspired every time I drop by.

In no particular order:

Yen of Me and Mine for I like her blog in general. I love the way she does her posts and how it looks so easy to come up with a topic to put on her blog. I also admire her intelligence, her photography and her knowledge about the net and blogging. She’s also one helpful gal and a real bloggy buddy to count on.

Vannie of Fun/Fierce/Fabulous for I like the way she talks in her blog. The use of words and the way she expresses herself. I also love the way she post topics in her blogs that really captures my attention to read more. Plus she’s also one of my real bloggy buddy that you can really chat with almost any topic that a fab mamma can open.

Milet of Momie Space for I like her the personality of her blog. Her views, her cries and her laughs as a mother and as a survivor have somehow touched me in a good way. After all the dramas in her life, I still see a very strong woman in her.

Mich of Random Thoughts for I also love how she blog and how she talks on her posts. Her cheerful personality has somehow caught my tang to read her blog daily. No pretensions or whatsoever.

Alpha of Because Life is Fun for I like her blogs in general too. I love her short meme’s and her LO’s, her photography and the way she talks about her Estong.

Arlene of My Simple but Adorned Life for I like the way she strives to reach her goals. I love her use of words and the way she expresses herself in her blog- especially with her issues about infertility. I feel some heart in her blog, that’s why I love visiting them.

reunited part 2

Last January ’08,(late post huh) my dearest friend Faye, came home here in the Philippines to have some rest from their undying work in the US. She is actually based in Torrance CA and currently got her license there as a CPA. So, imagine how she’s adjusting on her new career as a professional. She definitely needs some rest!

Her visit this time was unannounced and we were quite shock to read (via text sms) that they (she & her hubby Jude) just arrived!

This is like a once in a year chance, so definitely we didn’t waste time. We went out and had some fun (as in kwentuhan galore, at si Faye ang host! lol!)

Yes, my rebonding session was postponed because I got off abt about 4 pm then 5 - 6 hours pla rebonding so mga 11 pm na ako makakauwi! Gosh! so I just postoned it nalang and have it re-sched this Sunday.
