handmade halloween costumes! nice! =)

Steal stuff from your kitchen, garage, and recycling bin to make these way-creative (and totally simple) costumes.

Moose

Do-It-Yourself
* White cotton gloves stuffed with batting make perfect antlers.
* Sew onto a brown cap. Fill the toes of brown baby socks with batting for ears and attach above antlers.

Dragon

Do-It-Yourself
* Cut green sponges into triangles and stitch or glue them down the center of a pilot's cap.
* Attach more triangles down the back of a matching bodysuit.

Ballerina

Do-It-Yourself
* Make a tutu from strips of wax paper, plastic bags, and mesh onion sacks.
* Knot plastic bags onto a simple pink headband.

Superhero

Do-It-Yourself
* Cut two triangles and a rectangle out of duct tape for a lightning bolt.
* For arm shields, slice off the tops and bottoms of water bottles, make a lengthwise cut, then paint.
* The base of a plastic bottle and duct tape become a superhero's belt.
* Stripe a trash bag with yellow and orange duct tape.

Bumblebee and Flower

Do-It-Yourself
* Make yourself a flower-petal collar from a plastic shower-curtain liner.
* For antennae, attach chenille stems topped with pom-poms to a cotton cap.
* Use bubble wrap as wings.
* Wrap a yellow towel around a baby carrier and fasten it with stripes of black electrical tape.
