Not as Good | Resident Evil After Life

At last we we’re able to watch the “After Life” sequel of Resident Evil.The movie date push thru last night and I can say that I’m not really ‘thrilled' with the film. Maybe there were less action scenes and horrifying views from undead. Plus the fact that there were too many slow mos which cause a less thrilling action scenes ( for me ).

I don’t really want to tell about it more further for I may spoiled the movie but overall the movie was just OK ( plain ok) nothing spectacular unlike the first 3 sequel. In short, the “Infection”, “Apocalypse” and “extinction” were much better than “After Life”. That's all I can say.

Sunday Movie Date

It’s Sunday once again and it’s my free day! :)

I planned to blog all day for I have so many updating to do but because the husband is too bored to stay at home we decided to watch a movie after lunch.

We thought of watching this.

~ Resident Evil : AfterLife ~

We’ve watch the “infection”, “apocalypse” and “extinction” so it means we have to watch this too to complete the saga. Though we’re still having second thoughts of watching it because I hate watching a movie in 3D. Yup! I’m not into 3D flicks because it makes me uncomfortable and somewhat dizzy. I’m not use to wearing glasses when a watch a movie maybe that’s the reason behind that but nonetheless I just want to watch in a simple mode.

Now, we’re hoping that we can catch this flick in a non 3D mode on other theaters if not, we might just buy our groceries and go home after that. Wish us luck! :)

Time To Relax

I was browsing an Outer Banks vacation rental website when my officemate purposely click on the speaker and sang together with Erick Santos’s “Miss You Like Crazy”. Whew! I almost forgot that my Lyodie has a new movie this Feb! lol! :)

Uhhh! I better convience my friends to watch the movie with me for I won’t have a chance viewing this flick with hubby! Lol! He literally dislikes John Llyod! :) Oh well, I might see the movie later. Hopefully! ;)

Uhh New Moon is just months away (I think) and I just can’t wait to see it because of these wolves! I mean because I really miss Edward!lol!

Now, I finally knew why most of my buddies adore Edward Cullen so much. He is just simple irresistible! Aww! I want him to bite me more! Lol! ;)

You see two weeks ago I started reading the “Twilight” book (thanks to my Mommy) and like the others I got hooked especially when Edward Cullen entered the scene.

Then yesterday, hubby and I went to see the movie and God the moment I saw Edward Cullen I was so amazed (*sigh*)! Urgh! I just can’t enough of him till the end of the movie. I specifically loved the " Getting to know with a fierce gaze", " Don't move (for I will kiss you)", "You are my Life now" part and the "Tracker" scene where it gave me the shiver and made my co-watchers screamed. lol!

His pale cold skin, honey colored eyes, burning lips, spiky hair and his mysterious blood sucking personality really hit me bigtime. Lol! Hayyy .. When we went home, I tried to finish the book and I vowed to finish it this weekend. Hopefully, by Monday I’ll start browsing “New Moon” and hopefully sigh at Edward again. Lol! :) { hope hubby won’t read this post! Lol!}

Eagle Eye

Yesterday was our movie night again. My hubby invited me to see the movie “Eagle Eye” with main star Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan.

The movie is all about two strangers who became the pawn of a mysterious woman who keeps calling them over the phone and gives command via the use of technology. The woman gave them a mission that is too much to bear - to eliminate the existing US government. She gave them everything they need to fulfill the mission, from passport

to guns and many more. They have no choice but to obey or else they will die. Now, what should they do to escape? Well, the answer is up for you to find out.

I recommend that you watch this movie because I consider it as one of the best movie I’ve seen this year. I just love the plot and how trilling the movie is. This fast-paced race-against-time-thriller really got me off my seat until the end of the flick.

The best part of the movie is knowing who the mysterious woman is and how to escape from her.

Last weekend, my hubby and I went to the movies to watch “Hellboy 2”. While waiting for the movie to launch, trailers of upcoming movies where flashed on the big screen. And this one kept us laughing on our seats while waiting for Hellboy to start.

Synopsis:

This movie is all about a group of spoiled actors shooting a big budgeted war movie dropped in the middle of the jungle by their director. Unbeknownst to them, they’ve been dropped into a very real war zone, and they’ll have to fight their way out if they want to survive! I think this film is really awesome and can really make us cry while laughing!

Oh I just can’t wait to see this movie! I also love the actors that's why I'm uber excited to see it! Hope it will be shown next week so that we can have some good laughs over the weekends then.

Btw, about “Hellboy”, the movie was fine but it lacks that “something” {again} that I usually look for on action-adventure films. Well, I rather cook my casserole recipes than watching another movie like this. :)

Movie Addict ME :)

Gosh! It’s been raining since Friday here! Hayy… I’m really craving for some sunshine now! Lol!

But a drop of rain wouldn’t stop me from watching some flicks! Lol!

Friday, me and hubby was able to watch “The Mummy”. The movie was cool but not that great for me. But I would commend Jet Li for his fine performance in the movie. Nonetheless, it was still a nice movie to watch. I just don’t like the idea that Brandon’s wife is not the original star from his past Mummy movies.

Saturday, Me and Jona decided to watch Llyody’s movie with Sarah G. -“ A Very Special Love”. The movie actually made my day! Well, I’m not saying I’m a Llyody and Sarah Fan now, it’s just that the movie can lift a heavy heart because of some funny acts of Sarah and some “kilig” looks of Llyody! Lol! (kinilig ba kay JLC? haha )

Anyways, it’s a nice movie to watch – though I still looove “ One More Chance”. The later movie has more depth, more chemistry and more Llyodyy! Bwahaahahah PEACE!

My Weekend {Backward}

Nothing much this weekend. Still the usual “at home” thingy this Sunday. Though my MIL is trying to convince us to go with her for some malling action but I’m still having some second thoughts. Hmm we’ll see.

Saturday – that’s today! I’m still at work typing this post. Have plans of going to the mall later for some book hop for Aj. {I need to update his books} Hubby’s currently somewhere, playing around with his Airsoft buddies. That’s why I’m free as a bird later {to shop what I want!} hihihih

Friday – was fun! It was hubby’s off and we watched a movie again – THE DARK KNIGHT. Pretty awesome flick- Love Christian Bale and Heath (gave me some chills) was really good here (an Oscar performance for him). I specifically adore the climax and the end part of the movie. Love the twist {yes it has unexpected twist, not the usual batman movie} and I’m really excited on its next sequel. (though Heath Ledger will not be around then + sayang!)

Overall this movie made my TGIF a good one!

A TGIF date with hubby

Me and hubby went to the movies again yesterday.

As I previously posted here, watching “Hancock” was already in our to-do list this weekend.

Hancock was a good movie, I can’t say that it is a great flick but it really has some funny scenes and stuffs that will tickle you through out the movie. Will Smith here is an unusual superhero that is sort of depressed because he was the only one in his kind. Oopss! So much for the teaser. You better see the movie to find what’s really up with Hancock.

My overall rating is 3.5 out of 5 stars. Well, I’m not sure if my headachy mood yesterday affected my rating. Lol! But I kinda like Wanted more than this one. The latter has more action effects which really took me out my seat.

hulk was incredible

Ok, I must admit I am a certified Marvel aficionado now. I think I got it all from hubby. {*giggle*}

I mean who wouldn’t be? He dragged me from all of the Marvel movies since Spiderman to this one. {He literally brain wash me hahaha }But in fairness ha, I loved those characters since I was a kid and even played with their action figures. Well, I have 2 brothers and no sisters to play with me, so I had no choice but to play with boy’s toys.

Anyways, we watched “Incredible Hulk” yesterday and I think I really like it more than Narnia, Yeah, promise! I really do. Even though Ben Barnes was not there, I still think the movie was great (for me)! Well, I don’t want to relay the details of the movie, I’m not planning to post a spoiler here.

I just want to tell you guys that it’s a great watch, especially the end part where one Marvel superhero appeared and I think will become visible in the next Hulk flick. Great!

Oh I just can’t wait for the part 3! hihihi.. I love Ed Norton btw, just love those blue eyes of his! {*wink*}

what is a Death Note?

Ever heard? A Death Note in its fictional term is a notebook dropped by the death god named Ryuk. In short, any human whose name is written in the notebook dies. Cool huh! I kinda like that kind of plot in any media genre. Lol! If ever I had some supernatural powers I wouldn’t pick the power of knowing of who’s gonna die next! That's creepy! I just love watching or reading stories like that. So if ever I had some superpowers I think I would rather be invincible than be a psychic. Lol!

Well, I actually got the idea based on the hit supernatural action-mystery manga, and follow the story of Light Yagami, an ace student who finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god named Ryuk. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals mysteriously begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective "L" to investigate, and he is soon hot on the trail of Light, who must now reevaluate his noble goal. Both Light and L believe themselves to be on the side of justice, and the two match wits as they attempt to prove which one of them is "good" and which one of them is "evil."

Wow! I think this is a very interesting movie to watch! I just can’t wait to see it in theaters! Actually, Death Note will be shown only on limited time on May 20^th & the 21^st at 7:30 PM, so be sure to grab your tickets now before you run out. horrow flick of the year!

God! Have you seen the trailer of “Frontier (s)”? Gosh! Just saw it a while ago and boy it’s really the scariest horror movie I’ve seen! Well, just by looking the trailer it already gave me the creeps and the chills. What more if I’ll get to see the whole movie huh? I think, if order to watch this movie, its better that you are more than two! So that if ever you faint because of its gruesome and scary effects, there will be someone that will catch you.

Well, Frontier(s) was actually rated NC-17 because of its explicit violence and gore. So you see if this film is not suitable for all audiences and never to be seen by people with heart ailments.

But if you’re really into horror films and all, this movie will definitely catch your taste. The film will be available in theaters by May 9, 2008, so you better reserved your seats now. Or if you don’t have time, you can wait for the release of its DVD on the 13^th of May 2008.

So, check out its website now to see where I got the creeps and chills! And have a chance to sneak on its spooky, bloody trailer! Its website also proves that the film is the scariest flick of all. Not to mention its awesome creepy sounds and images that can really knock you off from your seats.

i am legend

Last January 8 (Tuesday), me and my hubby got a chance to watch Will Smith's flick " I Am Legend".

Synopsis of the movie: “Years after a seemingly incurable plague devastates humanity, the last remaining human survivor in New York City, is trying to get by this post apocalyptic world, subsisting off of now feral landscape of Manhattan and always holding out hope for more survivors. But the last man on earth was not alone, at night: he besieged by monsters, the mutated victim of the plague, and he must race to find the cure before he runs out of time."

Produce by Warner Bros. this action-suspense movie sure gave us the slither. Heart pounding scenes which I can’t publicize (for the benefit of some readers that wants to see the movie soon).

Overall the movie was great, though it really gave me a heavy feeling of distress (due to some scenes), but still I deem the movie as an A+. :)

one more chance

Call me baduy for posting this here! But I just can't help myself! I really love their "love team", especially John Lloyd! lol! He's so cute! :)

And now they have a new movie together! I'll really watch this movie " One More Chance ", the movie is super kilig for me, saw the trailer at Kathykot's Blog! :)

I've watch Maging Sino Ka Man before and I was loving every scene of it! From then on I just can't get enough of them. I just can't resist JohnLloyd's charm eh, that's why I'll convince my hubby to watch with me, hay sana pumayag cya.

John Lloyd kc has this killer smile na parang tumatagos sa buto ang kilig! masyado ba kng addict!? lol! Anyways, kahit makita ng hubby ko ito, alam naman nya na ksama c john llyod sa mga cravings ko bwahahahahaha ! pero syempre c hubby parin ang nasa no. 1 sa list ko hehehe :)
