There is no Success without Failures

My friend Mark just finishes his engineering degree last year and with that he immediately took the board exam as per advice by his mom. Her mom wants him to take the board immediately so that he can explore some mechanical engineer careers and start earning for himself. Mark was a little bit hesitant to take the board because he felt that he is not yet ready to pass nor to fail the said exam. He felt that he needs to study more before taking a big leap of taking the board exam. But his mom motivated him and told him that he has nothing to lose and there is nothing wrong in trying.

That is why he gave it a shot.

Then the result came in. My friend Mark called and asked me to check the result of the board exam online. Unfortunately, Mark is again not ready to face the result of the board and he fears that he might not able to take it if ever he fails for the first time. As a friend, I gave him a word of advice just to cheer him up and release his tension. I told him that there is no success without failure. He lightens up a bit and asked me what result was. I gave him a smile and told him that he passed. He was the happiest man on earth then and I was really relieve to see him glad. :)

Dream Career

My cousin Lara is currently studying in a cosmetology school in Wisconsin. Apparently, she did persued her long-time dream of being a beauty specialist and builds her own beauty shop near her house.

I still remember when we were young, we usually played pretend in their house where I usually pretend to be a teller in a bank and her being my beautician. True enough are pretensions came true in a way. I finished a degree in Accountancy and now having a career in the finance industry and Lara is on her way of becoming the greatest beauty expert in our family. Oh well, I wish she could finish her course smoothly and hope to see her with celebrities as well. :)

Where Am I Heading To?

When I was just a little girl, I dreamed to be a doctor. When I grew up a bit, I changed my mine because of my fear of blood but somehow I still hope to be one even I have a blood phobia. But when I go to college, I was definitely sure that I won’t and can’t be a doctor. First because my mom got sick- meaning we are low in our finances and second because I know in my heart that I can’t be successful in the said field. So I took up Accountancy.

At first, I was very enthusiastic. I got high grades and end up being a scholar in our school. But as time passed by I suddenly realized that I don’t like Accountancy. Not that I really hate it, it’s just that the whole thing is not me. Well, I’m not really sure till now. It’s more like that I should have taken Business Administration and be a businesswoman than Accountant. Though, I can be a businesswoman even though I’m an accounting graduate, right? Well, I just thought that if I’ve taken the real field that I love I would be very successful with it and be renowned like Jamie Sigler.

Huh! I just hope I could really find my calling very soon and go to that path. So that I can proudly say that I’m fulfilled with my career. Or maybe- being a pretty housewife is my path? Don’t you think?
